Applied Racing KLR650 Triple Clamp Installation
While swapping out the stock upper triple clamp for the new Applied Racing Upper Triple Clamp on a 1987 to 2007 KLR is a fairly easy and straightforward project, we thought we would make it even easier by giving you a set of step-by-step instructions accompanied by some photos. Hopefully these instruction will make the task just a bit easier.

- Remove the small fairing to allow better access to hardware and wiring connections and set it aside.
- You will need to remove all of the existing controls and equipment from the handlebars. If they have cables or wiring attached to them, carefully drape them over the front fender or carefully let them hang. There is no need to disconnect and actually remove any of them.
- Here you can see the throttle and brake master cylinder removed from the handlebar and carefully hanging on the front end.
- With everything off the handlebars, remove the instrument cluster and carefully let it hang
